Tiled countertops are becoming a popular alternative to solid surface countertops such as granite or stone. In order to produce these beautiful and durable tiled countertops, the proper installation system must be used. Schluter-Systems offers the components necessary to create such a countertop.

Schluter-DITRA, an uncoupling membrane, protects the tile covering from damage due to expansion and contraction of the plywood substrate. To protect the assembly from repeated water exposure, simply seal all seams and countertop/ backsplash transitions with Schluter-KERDI-BAND, and seal the area between DITRA and the sink with Schluter-KERDI-FIX.

Schluter-Systems also offers profiles, such as the Schluter-RONDEC-CT and Schluter-DILEX-AHK, which can be used for sink rails, cove bases, and tiled-under sinks. These profiles are available in a variety of colors and finishes, with matching inside and outside corner pieces, to help create an elegant countertop that is both durable and hygienic.
