Schluter®-BARA-ESOT
Function
The trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg of Schluter-BARA-ESOT is anchored between the setting bed and the tile. The special perforations of the vertical leg position Schluter-BARA-ESOT approximately 1/32" (1 mm) from the insulating strip, thus preventing a force-conductive bond between the floor and the wall.
First, thin-set mortar is applied to the base tile. The tile is then set against the vertical leg of the profile. The thin-set mortar penetrates the perforations of the skirting support and thus locks into the special structure of the profile. A joint of approximately 3/16" (5 mm) should be left between the base tile and the floor tile. The joint is then filled completely with grout. Use an appropriate sealing compound to construct a flexible joint on top of the base tile.
