Schluter-BARA-ESOT is a right-angle support profile made of stainless steel, type 304 (1.4301 = V2A). Both legs of the profile are perforated. In addition, the vertical leg includes spacer deflections.

Schluter-BARA-ESOT is used in the absence of a load-bearing substrate for the base tile; for example, over waterproofing membranes which carry up the wall, or in cases where the base tile should not be bonded to the wall. Floor structures laid over waterproofing membranes must include the Schluter-TROBA drainage system so that water does not collect at or behind the base tile.  

Base tiles installed on Schluter-BARA-ESOT will resist normal impact caused by brooms or mops.
