Schluter®-KERDI-DRAIN-F is a floor drain specifically designed for use in tiled floors in conjunction with Schluter®-DITRA and DITRA-HEAT membranes to provide reliable drainage. It is ideal for wet rooms, laundry rooms, bathroom floors, and other applications that require waterproofing and drainage. Protect floors and moisture-sensitive building structures by installing a secondary drain in areas at risk of water exposure.

Schluter®-DITRA and DITRA-XL are specifically designed for ceramic and stone tile installations. DITRA and DITRA-XL provide uncoupling to prevent cracked tile and grout. Made of polyethylene, DITRA and DITRA-XL serve as a waterproofing layer that protects moisture-sensitive substrates, such as plywood/OSB. Free-space on the underside of the matting provides a route for excess moisture and vapor to prevent damage to the tile layer above. DITRA and DITRA-XL perform all these functions while still providing adequate support/load distribution for the tile covering.

Can the Schluter®-DITRA-HEAT system be installed in an outdoor installation?
A:
No, the DITRA-HEAT heating cables and membrane cannot be installed outdoors. The heating cables are not rated for exterior applications.

Can I pull power from my DITRA-HEAT or other floor heating circuit to power my LIPROTEC LED?
A:
No. Floor heating should be on a dedicated circuit. You also increase the risk of accidentally miswiring the lighting into a 240V circuit.
