Schluter^® BARA-RW es un perfil de borde en forma de L para terminación de los perímetros expuestos de balcones y terrazas. El perfil ofrece un borde de apariencia limpia en tanto sella y protege los bordes expuestos del lecho de base de las inclemencias del tiempo y la corrosión.

El perfil se incrusta sólidamente en el mortero de capa fina y se integra en la capa impermeabilizante adherida.
Puede ser utilizado en balcones y terrazas existentes que se reacondicionarán con baldosas.
El perfil posee un ala de fijación con una perforación radial especial para que pueda ser utilizado para formar curvas.
Están disponibles esquinas interiores y exteriores a 90° y conectores.
Disponible en aluminio con revestimiento de color o en acero inoxidable

Schluter®-BARA-RW est un profilé de rebord fait d’acier inoxydable ou d’aluminium coloré en forme de « L » servant à la finition des rebords des balcons et terrasses. Ce profilé offre une belle finition, tout en recouvrant et protégeant les rebords exposés de la chape des éléments et de la corrosion.

BARA-RW convient à la réfection des balcons et terrasses, dans les cas où un revêtement carrelé est posé sur un substrat existant selon la méthode en couche mince. BARA-RW s’enfonce solidement dans le ciment-colle et s’intègre à la couche d’étanchéité.

BARA-RW is available with a special radius perforation “R” so that the profile can be used to form curves. Matching outside corners and connector pieces are available.

BARA-RW requires no special maintenance or care. The coatings on the color-coated aluminum profile are colorfast and UV-resistant. Damaged surfaces shall be painted over.

Stainless steel surfaces exposed to the environment or aggressive substances should be cleaned periodically with a neutral cleaner. Regular cleaning maintains the neat appearance of stainless steel and reduces the risk of corrosion. Avoid the use of strong acids (e.g. hydrochloric or hydrofluoric) and base/alkaline cleaners (e.g. bleach, ammonia, chlorides). Do not use abrasive cleaning agents and tools. Stainless steel surfaces develop a sheen when treated with a chrome-polishing agent.

1. Select BARA-RW according to the thickness of the setting bed (i.e., the height of the floor assembly to be covered). Prefabricated corners and connectors are available for inside corners, outside corners, and butt joints. Abut the ends of the profile, leaving an approx. 3/16" (5 mm) joint. Cover the joint with the clip-on connector.

2. Using a notched trowel, apply thin-set mortar to the area where BARA-RW is to be placed. Press the perforated anchoring leg of the profile into the thin-set mortar and align.

3. To integrate the DITRA-DRAIN membrane, install the DITRA-DRAIN over the anchoring leg.

4. Tiles shall be laid in such a way that they extend approximately 3/4" (20 mm) beyond the edge of the profile. When using a trim profile at the edge area, the trim profile must extend beyond the BARA-RW by approximately 5/16" (8 mm).
