Countertop with aluminum trim and tile insert

This template features the KERDI-BOARD waterproof building panel to provide a strong and stable base for the tiles combined with anodized aluminum profiles which are available in a wide variety of finishes.

The RONDEC-CT profile is used on the front edge of the counter, and features a rounded edge at the top and bottom with a recessed center section to which field or accent can be bonded, and also covers the sub-assembly below. The DILEX-AHK cove-shaped profile is used at the countertop/backsplash transition and creates a rounded, easy-to-clean surface. Finally, the RONDEC profile features a rounded shape to match the RONDEC-CT profile, and is used to finish the edges of the backsplash tile.
