Schluter®-DILEX-BWA features a trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg, made of recycled rigid PVC, which is secured in the mortar bond coat, and a dovetailed channel, made of recycled rigid PVC, which can be bonded to fixed building elements (e.g., door and window frames, bathtubs and shower trays, countertops, etc.) using Schluter®-KERDI-FIX, epoxy resin, silicone, tile adhesive, etc. The profile isolates the tile covering from the structure and accommodates movement via the 3/16” (5 mm)-wide soft chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) movement zone, which also forms the visible surface. The lower CPE movement zone is slit to maximize the absorption of movement. DILEX-BWA also prevents sound bridges, making it ideal for transitions in sound-rated floors.
DILEX-BWA no requiere mantenimiento ni limpieza especial y es resistente al moho y a los hongos. Limpie el perfil usando productos de limpieza domésticos comunes.
1- Seleccione el perfil de acuerdo con el espesor y el formato de las baldosas.
2- Utilizando una llana dentada, aplique una capa fina de mortero en el área en la que instalará el perfil.
3- De ser necesario, rellene el canal ranurado de DILEX-BWA con KERDI-FIX, resina epóxica, silicona o similar para adherir el perfil a la estructura existente.
4- Presione el ala de fijación perforada del perfil en el mortero y ajuste asegurándolo contra los elementos existentes del edificio.
5- Aplique con la llana una cantidad adicional de mortero de capa fina en el ala de fijación perforada del perfil para asegurar un soporte y cobertura total de los bordes de la baldosa.
6- Incruste sólidamente las baldosas alineándolas a ras con la parte superior del perfil.
7- Debe dejar una junta de aprox. 1/16" - 1/8" (1,5 - 3 mm) entre la baldosa y el perfil.
8- Rellene la junta completamente con lechada o material de fraguado.
