Introducing Schluter-KERDI-LINE Drain
Low-profile linear drain for bonded waterproofing assemblies
The new KERDI-LINE drain is an elegant low-profile alternative to traditional shower drains. This sleek and versatile linear drain is easy to install and offers an interesting array of design opportunities, including wheelchair-accessible showers.
KERDI-LINE can be installed adjacent to walls or at intermediate locations in showers, wet rooms, and other applications that require waterproofing and drainage. The floor can be sloped on a single plane to KERDI-LINE, thereby enabling the use of large-format tiles.
The drain features an adjustable brushed stainless steel grate frame in an elegant square trim design to accommodate a range of tile thicknesses. Grate lengths range from 20" to 48" nominal and are available in three attractive interchangeable grate designs:
- Brushed stainless steel with square perforations
- Brushed stainless steel closed-design
- Frameless tileable
The integrated bonding flange is made of 16-gauge stainless steel, with Schluter®-KERDI collar laminated on the surface to provide for a secure connection to Schluter®-KERDI and other bonded waterproof membranes. The assembly also includes a no-hub connection for easy connection to the waste line.
Installation of the line drain is made easier by using a new Schluter-KERDI-SHOWER sloped tray for the shower floor. The tray is pre-sloped toward the drain and comes with Schluter-KERDI waterproofing membrane already installed on the tray. The trays are available for wall or center drain placement and in two different sizes to suit different shower designs. They are also pre-marked to ease the job of centering and installing the drain.
