Declaraciones Ambientales de Producto (EPD, por sus siglas en inglés)
Schluter-Systems se enorgullece de haber lanzado la primera Declaración Ambiental de Producto (EPD) específica para una membrana de desacoplamiento en Norteamérica, un hito importante en materia de sostenibilidad que destaca nuestro liderazgo en materia de innovación transparente y sostenible. Esta innovadora EPD para la membrana DITRA refleja la amplia colaboración entre nuestra organización y nuestra cadena de suministro.
Las EPD evalúan el impacto medioambiental, incluido el carbono incorporado, y contribuyen al cumplimiento de normas como LEED y WELL. Además de DITRA, Schluter también proporciona EPD verificadas para las membranas impermeables KERDI, para su imprimante PRIMER-U y para sus morteros adhesivos. Hay planes en marcha para ampliar aún más nuestra oferta de EPD en 2025 y en los años posteriores.

Los HPD informan sobre los posibles efectos de los ingredientes de los productos en la salud y contribuyen a crear espacios más saludables y seguros. Schluter publica HPD para sus morteros, imprimantes, membranas de desacoplamiento DITRA y membranas impermeables KERDI, lo que proporciona datos claros y estandarizados que contribuyen al cumplimiento de programas como LEED y WELL. Seguimos ampliando nuestra biblioteca de HPD para adaptarnos a las normas de construcción ecológica en constante evolución y a las necesidades de los clientes.

Pruebas de Compuestos orgánicos volátiles (COV)
Para garantizar una mejor calidad del aire interior, Schluter realiza pruebas independientes de emisiones e indica claramente el contenido total de COV en sus fichas de datos de seguridad (FDS). Nuestra documentación ampliada sobre COV incluye ahora todas las categorías de productos, con notas detalladas sobre el cumplimiento de programas como la Norma 1168 del SCAQMD de California. Estos informes ayudan a los equipos de proyecto a elegir con confianza productos de bajas emisiones para crear espacios saludables que cumplan con la normativa.

Red List Free
Schluter formulates select setting materials and membranes to be “Red List Free,” meaning they are made without the most harmful chemicals commonly found in building products. This designation supports healthier spaces and more responsible material choices. Look for the Red List Free badge on our website and marketing materials as we continue to expand this offering.

Wellness and Community Involvement
Adopt a Highway
Schluter actively engages employees in a highway cleanup program through its Charity Committee, offering incentives for participation. Volunteers convene at the Plattsburgh facility, traveling together to clean adopted highways, promoting environmental well-being.
Better Health Wellness Program
Schluter sponsored a wellness program for 2025 called Betr Health, which is an optional election for Schluter employees during open enrollment. Through Betr Health, members are provided with helpful tips, meal plans, nutrition coaches, and 24-hour AI assistance to live a healthy and active lifestyle at no cost to those who elected the benefit.
