Schluter®-Systems now offers a brand new touchscreen thermostat for its award-winning DITRA-HEAT electric floor warming system as well as a new non-programmable thermostat and a power module.
The new DITRA-HEAT-E-RT touchscreen thermostat features an intuitive 3.5" interactive color display that makes programming the floor warming system fast and simple. In addition to showing all relevant information about the current functions of the heating system, the display is also used to input programming information and make information requests with the simple touch of a fingertip.
Programming is also simplified with the thermostat’s set-up wizard which guides the user through the process.
The new thermostat provides added flexibility to accommodate any lifestyle by allowing homeowners to create up to six programming periods per day. By using the built-in adaptive function the thermostat learns, through its own experience, to turn the floor warming cables on and off with an appropriate time interval to reach the target temperature at each specified time of day.
A touch-driven energy consumption log can quickly display energy used by the system for three different time periods: hourly for the past 24 hours, daily for the past 7 days, or monthly for the past 12 months. Homeowners can use this data to optimize the settings so the floor warming system provides the comfort they want for the least energy use. Homeowners can also enter their current energy tariff (i.e., user’s current Kilowatt-hour rate) and the thermostat will calculate energy cost over the same time periods.
The thermostat also provides a QR Code that can be scanned for quick access to system settings.
The new non-programmable thermostat has an updated look, featuring an easy to use interface and digital display with backlit screen. Both of these thermostats can be used on either 120 V or 240 V systems and have a built-in Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI). Temperature information can be displayed in ⁰F or ⁰C and the thermostats come with a 3-year warranty.
The new power module may be used in large floor applications where the heating load exceeds 15 Amps. As many as 16 power modules can be connected in series via low voltage signal wire to either the programmable or nonprogrammable thermostat to maintain a single point of control.
